Someone I know HAS to have the albums from the the Love Symbol era. Help me complete my collection.
One of my favorite vocalists, Corinne Bailey Rae, covers ‘I Wanna Be Your Lover’ by Prince, my favorite artist. Look out for the Corinne’s digitally released EP ‘The Love’ to be released on Feb. 14.
Doris Day sang this song in Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘The Man Who Knew Too Much’ and it won an Oscar in 1956. Corinne is singing the Sly & The Family Stone version while adding her own personal touch to it. If you ever have an opportunity to see her in concert, DO IT!
One of Howard buddies tweeted about this and I just had to check it out. You may remember the artist, Yael Naim, when her song ‘New Song’ was featured in an iPod commercial a few years ago. She gives the song a different depth, it feels creepy.
I heard of The Bird and The Bee before from one of my favorite musician friends. Then the other night in Forever 21 with Mels I heard another one of their songs and loved it. So I’m looking for it now but in the process, I came across their cover of Rihanna’s ‘Don’t Stop The Music’ Check it out.
